What is Walk to Japan?

Walk to Japan is an attempt by two British computer science graduates to walk unaided from Manchester to Tokyo, Japan. The route crosses sixteen countries, two continents and is expected to take a minimum of three years.

When does Walk to Japan begin?

We don't know. Definitely not before late-2008 at the earliest.

How is Walk to Japan being financed?

We're currently focusing on planning the walk and building up our backpacking experience. Once we're happy our bodies can endure the distance we'll try and contact some trekking gear companies and ask them for much needed help in the way of equipment, experience and funding.

Why Walk to Japan?
